6 Months Already

Image
It’s hard to believe I’ve been in England for 6 months already. If I’m completely honest, 2 of those months have been pretty good, 2 have been alright, and 2 have been pretty shit. Let’s see what I’ve been up to since my last update. I got a job doing event waitressing with an event placement company, but wasn’t getting a ton of shifts, but did end up working New Years Eve so didn’t have a very exciting start to the new decade. Was in my flat alone watching Graham Norton and fireworks on TV. I spent a lot of December and January just walking aimlessly around central London. I took a coach trip out of London beginning of January to Southampton to meet a friend who drove us to Portsmouth where we went to the arcade. I finally got to try a couple cupcake shops in London, they were decent enough. Made it to the science museum, which was pretty fun. I had actually worked an event there so it was nice to actually be able to look at all the stuff a bit closer. I took myself to go to Cirque...

Not the Birthday I was Hoping For

Image
I was hoping to celebrate my 30th birthday last week somewhere exciting. But, as with lots of other things, COVID had other plans. It also meant I wasn’t able to complete my list of 30 things I wanted to do before my birthday. Unsurprisingly my birthday was rather uneventful. I needed some groceries, including cupcakes, so I went out to the supermarket in the morning. When I got home I noticed there were packages waiting for me so that was my excitement for the day. I continued with my Castle marathon and looked at my new Thomas Kinkade colouring book! Shout out to my sister and her bestie for conspiring and sending it (along with pencil crayons, of course) to me. I talked to my mom for a bit on the phone and then made French toast for dinner. I had been craving it for a while and finally managed to get all...

A Decade in Review

Image
It’s hard to believe it’s already the new year, and even harder to believe it’s a new decade. While sitting at home, alone, last night on New Years Eve I thought it would be fun to take a look back at all the things I’ve done in the last 10 years. Chances are there will be more in the second half than the first, partly because I did more and partly because my memory isn’t quite that good. Let’s start with a picture of Megan circa 2009 for that 10 year challenge shall we? This post will likely have lots of pictures. So, enjoy. If you follow me on Instagram, I apologize because after 2016 a lot are probably going to have been on there haha. And if you don't follow me on Instagram...why not? megpie.s. Go now :) What else happened to me in 2010? I graduated Travel & Tourism as a Georgian Scholar Went to the Harry Potter exhibit at the Science Centre I started Recreation & Leisure Services at Georgian Got my full G license Hmm. I’m sure other things happ...
